The project aims to:
- support BMZ Special Unit ‘One World No Hunger’ as well as selected GIZ projects worldwide on the development of strategies and concepts for rural development
- cooperate relevant units and projects abroad as well as with international organizations and institutions to meet the above aim
The Sectoral Project Rural Development is part of GIZ’s Rural Development and Agribusiness division. The project supports the Special Unit “One World, No Hunger” (SEWOH) of Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) on the development of strategies and concepts for rural development. Firstly, the project aims for a sustainable support of rural transformation in our partner countries. Secondly, it works on establishing alternative development approaches in areas of drug cultivation. In the field of communication the project contributes to an improved visibility of topics and projects linked to the SEWOH.
