Workshop “Controlled reproduction and breeding of fish introducing recirculation aquaculture systems (RAS)”
The two-day workshop aimed on the exchange of information and capacity building with regard to technical approaches for the controlled propagation and rearing of fish species which are demanding in terms of their controlled reproduction. Dr. Andreas Müller-Belecke, Institute of Inland Fisheries Potsdam-Sacrow (IfB) was the lead trainer in the workshop.
The workshop was primarily intended for advanced hatchery- and farm managers and stakeholders in the aquaculture sector (university members, employees in fisheries/aquaculture authorities and departments) of the States of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur. The workshop included presentations, discussions, demonstrations on the object. The workshop was attended by university faculty and students, employees from fisheries and aquaculture authorities and practical fish farmers.
