for Effective Implementation of Nutrition Programmes: i-Monitor”

Date: 24 Jan 2017, 10:00 ā€“ 11:30 AMĀ CET; via Skype for Business (see link below)

  • To show how the software captures data, projects outputs within the included projects and across too
  • To provide inputs and get an idea if itā€™s useful for other GIZ projects on Nutrition/Health

Background
Last year under the Innovation Fund 2017 of the two regional Sector Networks Health and Social Protection (SN HeSP), the Food and Nutrition Security, Enhanced Resilience Programme (FaNS), India under One World-No Hunger has won funding to develop a Global Monitoring Software platform for monitoring nutrition projects.

This tool improves management and synthesis of nutrition based data from different programme interventions and thereby its impact on the beneficiaries. By developing a digitized system, micro-level intervention processes would be captured to improve delivery mechanism and reach to the beneficiaries. Currently, the software encompasses three projects in nutrition across India, Central Asia and Africa ā€“ namely, FaNS, India; Maternal & Child Health & Nutrition project, Tajikistan and Affordable Nutritious Food for Women (ANF4W). The software is designed in a way that it can be adapted to GIZ health and nutrition programmes in different countries which will support cross-country learning.

Archana Sarkar from FaNS, India will present a session on the demonstration and use of this software followed by a round of questions-answers.

Please feel free to share the invitation. We are looking forward to a fruitful exchange!
