These proposals are part of the studies conducted in 2022 by the project ā€œReducing health risks in the wild animal trade in Viet Namā€ in eight provinces. They identified the gaps in the existing policy system, as well as factors determining the adoption of prevention and control measures on zoonotic emergence and spillover risks in wildlife farms.

Discussion results from the workshop will be considered when developing a new decree regulating wildlife farm management and will also contribute to the implementation of the Master Plan for the OHP Framework for Zoonoses, 2021 – 2025.
