Nursery Management & Seedling Quality for Large Size Timber Plantations

To ensure successful plantation establishment and development of quality sawlogs in line with production targets, efforts start before the planting: high-quality seedlings are important to ensure successful plantation establishment, increase resilience against negative impacts (climate change, pests and diseases) and ensure growth rates of quality sawlogs.
SFM project held a three-day training to equip Vietnamese forest owners and nursery managers with crucial skills in tree nursery management and quality seedling production. With this knowledge, forest owners can procure quality seedlings for their forestry operations.
