GIZ India publishes Agenda 2030: Success Stories

The Environment, Climate Change and Biodiversity, one of the priority areas of the Indo-German Cooperation, recently published a notebook on Agenda 2030. The publication illustrates the contribution of the projects towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals in India.

The priority area assist partners in the fields of (1) climate change mitigation and adaptation, (2) agricultural development, (3) natural resource management and (4) biodiversity. It consist of 13 ongoing projects, which are supporting Indiaā€™s commitment in achieving 12 out of 17 SDGs and 46 out of 169 targets

The notebook, created for enhanced outreach presents relevant SDGs, to which each project is making a specific contribution. It further, provides an excellent overview on project activities and key milestones. Big numbers vividly underline the broad and profound impacts of the interventions implemented pan India.

Success stories from the field and interviews with the beneficiaries make for an interesting read ā€“ from Erisilk weavers in Meghalaya, to sugarcane farmers in Maharashtra and waste workers in Haryana.
