Initiatives, private persons, start-ups, and medium-sized, as well as big companies that support a Green Lifestyle are invited to submit their visionary ideas. Applications now run until October 28, 2017.

Besides “Sustainable Energies”, there will be 6 more categories rewarded: Construction & Living, Energy, Galileo Wissenspreis, Lifestyle, Mobility, Resources & Recycling, Sports by Jack Wolfskin and Water & Sewage. Companies that are younger than 3 years apply for the additional category “Start-up”.

For this year, the Agency for Business and Economic Development of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development will again take over the sponsorship for the category “Sustainable Development” of the GreenTec Award 2018.

Within 10 years, the GreenTec Awards have developed themselves into one of the most important independent environmental awards worldwide. Their aim is to connect people with visions for sustainable development and to encourage participation and imitation.
