SNRD Asia Conference
The Joint Conference of the GIZ Sector Networks SNRD Asia (Natural Resources and Rural Development Asia) and TUEWAS (Transport, Environment, Energy and Water in Asia) is taking place from 14 – 18 May 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand. Organised every two years, the event seeks to give room for members from all over Asia to learn from one another, build professional capacity, and promote regional and technical knowhow.
This year, the highlight will be on the nexus between the technical topics across our two Sector Networks to the potential that lies in digitalisation. The theme of this year’s conference is “Going digital – Unleashing the Potential for SNRD Asia and TUEWAS”. Across the globe, digital transformation is picking up pace and brings with it changes at all fronts, as is the case in our field of international cooperation. In its path, we are required to come up with new, adapted approaches. Exchange with colleagues within our sector, hence, is considered highly instrumental in delivering the innovative solutions needed.
What to expect: Get ready for a line-up of thematic workshops related to the subject of digitalisation, among many other hot topics!
Some highlights: We are very excited to have with us some of GIZ’s best digital aficionados and external guests who will be joining us to share some inspiring ideas and digital solutions from outside!
