The Guidelines for Value Chain Selection integrate economic, environmental, social, and institutional criteria for a comprehensive approach. These interconnected dimensions are vital for effective analysis, as neglecting any can affect later phases. The guidelines provide clear criteria and tools to help development practitioners, governments, and private sector initiatives make informed decisions on market development interventions.
