Although the event is still a year down the road the Call for Abstracts has already been opened and will close on 30th November. The Congress provides a platform for the exchange of scientific knowledge across all scientific disciplines relevant in forest research.
Two sessions of the event should be of special interest to the REDD+ Working Group. The first one is on “Benefit Sharing Mechanisms for REDD+ – First experiences and case studies” (Session 100). The second one is on “Operationalising forest degradation assessment for REDD+” (Session 103).
While keeping in mind that IUFRO is a scientific body and therefore presentations should have a certain scientific level, you or your scientific partners are encouraged to hand in abstracts for presentations via this link, showcasing your experiences in these areas.
