Ms. Li from the Regional Initiative on Zero Hunger Challenge, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations was invited to give an international and regional perspective on sustainable agrifood systems at the Regional Knowledge Sharing Consultation “Sustainable Agrifood Systems for Food Security and Sustainable Development in the ASEAN Region” held on 3 May 2017 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The meeting received about 40 experts in food security and sustainable agriculture from ASEAN countries to discuss how current food insecurity was being treated and what changes were needed to supply adequate, affordable, accessible, and safe food to meet increasing populations while protecting depleting natural resources.
