Agricultural exhibition on Solar technologies

Renewable energy solutions on display: on 5th and 6th of April, the GIC project together with its implementing partners SELCO Foundation and APMAS organised a two-day agricultural exhibition of renewable energy technologies in Madanapalle, in India’s eastern state of Andhra Pradesh. More than 40 technology innovators, manufacturers and entrepreneurs showcased solutions and offered live demonstrations of over 20 sustainable technologies. The exhibition attracted a huge crowd of interested people: more than 2000 farmers and other entrepreneurs visited the different booths during the event.

The promotion of technologies based on renewable energies is a core pillar of the GIC’s work. Together with its partners, the project has successfully piloted integrating renewable energy solutions in the tomato value chain in Andhra Pradesh since 2019. Check out the report on “Sustainable Energy Solutions (SDG 7) for Tomato Value Chain” to get an overview of the introduced solutions.
